The Newburgh Free Library has held an annual authors reception
for several years, as an opportunity for the readers and the writers
of the area to meet each other. This event has been so popular
that it is planned again for 2005.
The reception will be open to the public, and refreshments will
be
served. In the past we have averaged some 35 authors and a total
of about
100 attendees.
We will provide a descriptive catalog of the writers who
plan to come, and we expect to have two or three speakers,
representing different elements of the local writing community.
Some authors will have copies of their work for sale, or you may
bring your own for them to sign. We hope you will join us for
